Colorado Long-Term Care: Programs, Policies, and Partnerships

Overview

As our population ages, the need for long-term care becomes crucial. This course prepares producers and financial advisors to counsel clients on long-term care options and funding. It covers the nature of long-term care, services and providers, insurance, partnership programs, and policies, as well as federal and state programs like Medicare and Medicaid. The course also discusses the market for long-term care insurance and the ethics and suitability standards for selling LTCI policies.

This course has been approved for 8 hours of Colorado’s LTC and LTC partnership training requirements. This course is approved only for Part I of the state’s 16-hour requirement and must be supplemented with 8 hours of live classroom instruction.
