Workers Comp and Maritime Liability for the Energy Industry

Overview

For contractors, on-the-job injury costs are a major part of total risk. While state workers compensation laws drive much of this cost, energy companies near water must also comply with federal laws like the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act, the Jones Act, and maritime law. This course covers how these laws interact with workers compensation insurance and their impact on the insurance line.
