When does Kansas Funeral CE have to be completed?
The license term is every two (2) years, as follows:
A-L last names renew in
even
years
M-Z last names renew in
odd
years

Can Funeral CE courses be repeated?
Courses cannot be repeated more than once in a 2 year license term.
Are there any Funeral CE credit type limits?
Self-Study:
Maximum 6 CE hours
Crematory Operator CE credits can also be used for Funeral Director/Embalmer credit--
but NOT both
. For example: If a licensee completes a 3 hour course marked as eligible for Crematory Operator/Cremationist credit, then 2 hours will count toward the Crematory Operator/Cremationist CE requirement and 1 hour will count toward the Funeral Director/Embalmer CE requirement.
Can Funeral CE course hours carry over to the next renewal cycle?
Licensees are allowed to carry over a maximum of 6-CE hours every renewal period.
What is the Kansas Funeral license renewal process?
The Board will mail a renewal notice at least 45 days prior to license renewal. Licensees must submit renewal form and required fee to the Board.

What are the WebCE Kansas Funeral CE course requirements?
WebCE courses are online approved self-study courses with non-monitored open-book final exams. Students should read through course material then complete exam.
Passing score: 70%
If the final exam is not passed on the first attempt, students have an unlimited number of retakes.
What is the access period for WebCE Kansas Funeral CE courses?
12 months from the original date of purchase
How often does WebCE report Kansas Funeral CE course completions?
Once a week to the Kansas Board of Mortuary Arts
Does WebCE supply a certificate of completion for Kansas Funeral CE courses?
Online PDF certificates of completion are available to print immediately after the final exam is passed. Licensees should retain their certificates for auditing purposes.
What are the Kansas Funeral CE requirements for non-residents?
Non-residents are exempt from CE for Kansas if their home state requirement is the same or greater than the requirement for Kansas. Licensure in the home state for at least one year is required.
