Note: The 2024-2026 Mandatory course must be taken in a live online or live classroom format. Due to these restrictions, WebCE will not be offering the Mandatory course this license cycle.
When does Connecticut Real Estate CE have to be completed?
Brokers
All continuing education (CE) hours must be completed by August 30 of even-numbered years. Note: This CE completion deadline is 3 months before the renewal deadline.
Salespersons
All continuing education (CE) hours must be completed by February 28 of even-numbered years. Note: This CE completion deadline is 3 months before the renewal deadline.
Can Real Estate CE courses be repeated?
Courses cannot be repeated more than once in a 2 year license term.
Can Real Estate CE course hours carry over to the next renewal cycle?
Excess credit hours will not be carried forward.
What is the Connecticut Real Estate license renewal process?
Real estate licenses that are issued on or after April 1, 2024 will expire biennially instead of annually.
The deadline to renew a Broker License is November 30th. All continuing education (CE) hours must be completed between April 1, 2022, through August 30, 2024.
The deadline to renew a Salesperson License is May 30th. All continuing education (CE) hours must be completed between March 1, 2024 through February 28, 2026.
Note: CE completion deadlines are 3 months before the renewal deadline.
The state sends renewal notices approximately 30-45 days prior to the expiration date of each license via email or regular mail.

What are the WebCE Connecticut Real Estate CE course requirements?
WebCE courses are classified as online distance education.
Students must read the course material.
Final exams are not required for continuing education.
What is the access period for WebCE Connecticut Real Estate CE courses?
12 months from the original date of purchase, unless otherwise posted on the course description page and student dashboard.
How often does WebCE report Connecticut Real Estate CE course completions?
Every business day to the Connecticut Real Estate Commission
Does WebCE supply a certificate of completion for Connecticut Real Estate CE courses?
Online PDF certificates of completion are available to print immediately after the course is completed. The licensee must keep a copy of each certificate of completion in his or her file for 4 years.
What are the Connecticut Real Estate CE requirements for non-residents?
As a licensee in another state, you may submit certificates of completion for CE completed for another state's license to the Department for consideration toward equivalency credit for only the elective portion of the CE requirements.
Are there any CE exemptions?
The following are exempt from Connecticut CE requirements:
Individuals who passed a Connecticut licensing exam during the CE period.
Individuals serving in the military on active-duty.
Individuals who are physically handicapped which handicap prohibits them from sitting for an exam or attending courses.
