  • Commission Designated Core A and B: 6 CE hours
  • Electives: 14 CE hours

Can Real Estate CE courses be repeated?

Courses cannot be repeated more than once within 2 consecutive license terms (4 years).

11/30 every even year

Can Real Estate CE course hours carry over to the next renewal cycle?

No excess CE credit hours may be carried over to the next year's license term.

What is the Hawaii Real Estate license renewal process?

All real estate broker and salesperson licenses, including corporations, partnerships, LLCs or LLPs, and sole proprietors must be renewed by the commission prescribed deadline prior to November 30th of each even-numbered year. Prior to license renewal, a licensee shall provide the Commission with proof of CE completion. Failure to satisfy the continuing education requirement by the license expiration date will preclude the licensee from renewing the license on active status.

Does WebCE supply a certificate of completion for Hawaii Real Estate CE courses?

Online PDF certificates of completion are available to print immediately after the course is completed. The licensee must keep a copy of each certificate of completion in his or her file for 4 years.

What are the Hawaii Real Estate CE requirements for non-residents?

Hawaii-licensed real estate brokers and salespersons who hold a current real estate license in another state or jurisdiction recognized by the Association of Real Estate License Law Officials, may request a determination of equivalency for the elective course hours of the continuing education requirement. The continuing education equivalency shall be based on the successful completion of the continuing education requirements in the other state or jurisdiction prior to submission of the license renewal application. Approval of the continuing education equivalency shall be subject to the real estate licensee completing the commission-designated core course.

Are there any CE exemptions?

The following are exempt from Hawaii CE requirements:
  • Salespersons initially licensed in an even year are deemed to have fulfilled their CE requirement for that license renewal period.
