What are the Insurance Continuing Education requirements for US Virgin Islands?

Producers & Adjusters

24 CE hours total, including:
  • Ethics: 3 CE hours
Please note: Effective January 1st, 2024 resident licensees will need to complete 12 CE hours, including 3 hours of Ethics, prior to submitting their renewal application for calendar year 2025

Are there any course approval restrictions for US Virgin Islands Insurance CE?

Licensees must take approved courses in the line of authority in which they are licensed in.

When does US Virgin Islands Insurance CE have to be completed?

All licenses expire on December 31st of each year, however, CE is required every 2 years.

Can Insurance CE courses be repeated?

You cannot repeat the same course within 2 years from the original course completion date.

Can Insurance CE course hours carry over to the next renewal cycle?

Excess CE hours may not be carried over to the following license term.

What is the US Virgin Islands Insurance license renewal process?

  1. Electronic renewals will be available 90 days prior to the expiration date
  2. Continuing Education requirements must be met prior to submission of a renewal application every other license term.
  3. Complete renewal application and submit fees.

  • WebCE courses are classified as online self-study courses.
  • Students should read through course material for each course before attempting a final exam.
  • Self-study exams are open-book and do not require a monitor.
  • Final exam passing score: 70%
  • If the final exam is not passed on the first attempt, students have an unlimited number of retakes.

Online PDF certificates of completion are available to print immediately after the course is completed. Licensees must keep a copy of each certificate of completion in his or her file for at least 5 years.

Non-resident producers who meet their home state CE requirements are exempt from Virgin Island CE requirements.
