Excess hours earned in one license term may not be carried forward to a subsequent license term.
What is the New York Funeral license renewal process?
Licensees must submit a renewal form (provided by the state) with the required fee to the state. Licensees will be required to list all CE taken for the renewal period.
What are the WebCE New York Funeral CE course requirements?
WebCE courses are online approved self-study courses with non-monitored open-book final exams. Students should read through course material then complete exam.
Passing score: 70%
If the final exam is not passed on the first attempt, students have an unlimited number of retakes.
What is the access period for WebCE New York Funeral CE courses?
12 months from the original date of purchase
How often does WebCE report New York Funeral CE course completions?
WebCE does not report course completions to the New York State Department of Health.
Does WebCE supply a certificate of completion for New York Funeral CE courses?
Online PDF certificates of completion are available to print immediately after the final exam is passed. The licensee must keep a copy of each certificate of completion on file for 5 years for auditing purposes.
What are the New York Funeral CE requirements for non-residents?
Non-resident licensees are subject to the requirements of New York. The department may grant a non-resident licensee credit for continuing education as required by the state in which such licensee resides, provided the department deems them equivalent to New York continuing education requirements.
Are there any CE exemptions?
Funeral directors are exempt for the 2-year license term during which they are first licensed.
