Are there any subject area requirements for Michigan Real Estate CE?

All License Types

Law: 6 CE hours (2 hours annually)
Fair Housing: 3 CE hours (1 hour annually)
Electives: 9 CE hours

Note: The Michigan Occupational Code requires that all real estate professionals complete one hour of continuing education in each year of the license cycle concerning compliance with local, State or Federal fair housing law.

When does Michigan Real Estate CE have to be completed?

Licenses will renew every 3 years from the date of issuance.

Can Real Estate CE courses be repeated?

Courses cannot be repeated more than once in a 3 year license term.

Can Real Estate CE course hours carry over to the next renewal cycle?

Excess credit hours may not be carried forward to the next license cycle.

What is the Michigan Real Estate license renewal process?

The process to renew in this state is to log in to the licensing system online and follow the prompts to renew. Licensees do not need to send proof of CE to the Department unless being audited and have been asked to submit the information.
