Child Abuse Recognition and Reporting:
2 CE hours
Initial license term requires a 3-hour course on child abuse recognition and reporting
Can Funeral CE courses be repeated?
Courses Cannot be repeated more than once in a 2-year license term.
When does Funeral CE have to be completed?
2/1 every even year
Can Funeral CE course hours carry over to the next renewal cycle?
Excess CE credit hours earned in one license term may not be carried forward to the next license term.
What is the Pennsylvania Funeral license renewal process?
Renewal notices are mailed two to three months prior to the license expiration date. Notices are mailed to the most recent address the licensee has reported to the Board.
Funeral Professionals are required to report all CE credit hours earned on their Pennsylvania license renewal.

What are the WebCE Pennsylvania Funeral CE course requirements?
WebCE courses are online approved self-study courses with non-monitored open-book final exams. Students should read through course material then complete exam.
Passing score: 70%
If the final exam is not passed on the first attempt, students have an unlimited number of retakes.
What is the access period for WebCE Pennsylvania Funeral CE courses?
12 months from the original date of purchase
How often does WebCE report Pennsylvania Funeral CE course completions?
WebCE does not report course completions to the Pennsylvania State Board of Funeral Directors.
NOTE:
PA Child Abuse credits are reported once a week to the PA State Department website.
Does WebCE supply a certificate of completion for Pennsylvania Funeral CE courses?
Online PDF certificates of completion are available to print immediately after the final exam is passed. Licensees should keep all certificates a minimum of 3 years for state auditing purposes.
What are the Pennsylvania Funeral CE requirements for non-residents?
A non-resident licensee wishing to receive Pennsylvania funeral CE credit for courses must meet the Pennsylvania CE requirements.
Are there any CE exemptions?
An individual applying for licensure for the first time will be exempted from the continuing education requirement for the biennial renewal period following initial licensure.
The board may waive all or a portion of the continuing education requirement for biennial renewal to a licensee who shows to the satisfaction of the board that he or she was unable to complete the requirements due to serious illness, military service or other demonstrated hardship.
